Guide Service and fishing info for Northern California
First an introduction: My name is Steven Bertrand and I have been guiding the waters of Northern California for the last 10 years. I am based in Dunsmuir, CA and primarily fish the Upper Sacramento, McCloud, Pit, and Klamath rivers. I have been relaxing in sunny Tucson AZ since just before Christmas, but am heading back to Northern Californa soon. Spring steelheading should be good now and hopefully the rains will let up enough for the rivers to drop into fishable shape. The Upper Sac is now open year-round so we no longer have to wait until the Last saturday in April to start fishing it. Also Spring fishing on the Klamath can be quite good. I will be posting reports here of the waters I am fishing and how it is going starting as soon as I return to Dunsmuir (around the middle of March). In addition to fishing a whole lot I also spend a bit of time on the Northern California Flyfishing Board (NCFFB) where I try to provide info for people on the fishing in the Dunsmuir area. I go by the name of StevenB normally but right now I am posting as StevenBinAZ. I have put a linkĀ to the NorCal board on this page. Feel free to E-mail me if you have any questions on fishing in Northern California.
Check out the link called My photo albums for pictures of the river.
